Tony Young, Beloved Coach and Community Mentor, Dies Following a Severe Stroke
Tony Young died peacefully on September 15 after suffering a severe stroke on September 10.
Young received emergency transport to Queen’s Hospital on Oahu for medical care.
A devoted family member and longtime coach, Young shared wisdom, encouragement, and kindness both on and off the field.
Young cared deeply for family and community, leaving a lasting impact on the many people guided and supported over the years.
The family plans to bring Young home to the Big Island for a final farewell and future celebration of a meaningful life.
